During your visits, you check your checklist, take notes on, yes, a note pad, all while taking photos with a camera or your phone. Whether or not something is wrong, you want to prepare a report. That’s where the fun starts, because now you have to consolidate all that information into one medium. Somehow you have to bring together the checklist, the notes, and all the photos into one email, or maybe even a fax.
Now your work is done, but you want to get paid. Again, you probably use a complex mixture of mailed invoices and reminder emails every month. You then receive checks, money transfers, or you have to call to get credit card information over the phone, if you even have an easy way to get paid with credit cards.
